Principle
We refuse to untether ourselves from the faith of our fathers. We are a church that is historically rooted to the Confessional standards established by the giants of the church over centuries. We are not aiming to do a new thing, but to bring the ancient truths of God to our people and place. With that, we subscribe and adhere to the Christian faith as taught by the Prophets and the Apostles in the Scriptures and summarized in the Reformed confessions, particularly the Westminster Confession of Faith.
Practical
Because of this commitment, you will find that worship at Christ the King reflects a more traditional and reverent form. We are intentional to saturate our time together with the Word of God, robust psalm and hymn singing, and faithful participation in the sacraments. Adhering to the Regulative Principle of Worship, we do not believe we are free to worship God in the manner that pleases us, but rather, the manner which pleases Him and He has commanded in Scripture. Ultimately, we believe this connection to our Confessionally Reformed heritage is a great grace of God to protect His Church from falling away from true doctrine and succumbing to the winds of the age. Our Confessional standards serve as guardrails to preserve the peace and unity of the church of Jesus Christ on earth.
