Call
As our services begin, we are called into worship by the Word of God. We do not come of our own volition, but by the power of the One who "maketh me to lie down in green pastures [and] leadeth me beside the still waters". As we are brought into His presence, we are greeted also by His Word and sing psalms and hymns acknowledging His grace.
Confession
Having entered into the presence of our Holy God, we must acknowledge our shortcoming. He is perfect; we are not. And so we hear a short homily on the Law of God applied to our lives and confess our sin before rejoicing in the full pardon granted to us in the life and death of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. By this bridge of pardon, we go from confessing our sin to confessing our faith in the Triune God by joining the global church in the recitation of the Apostles' Creed, Nicene Creed, Chalcedonian Definition, or Athanasian Creed. Finally, the community is welcomed, now that we've humbled ourselves in confession, to bring our petitions to the Father in the Pastoral Prayer.
Consecration
As our service moves along, we will hear Scripture readings from the Old and New Testaments, sing further psalms and hymns, and hear the Word of God preached. We preach from the Bible — exegetically and expositionally — with the aim of helping God's people to understand the meaning of the text and how we are to apply to our lives. It is by this "washing of water by the word" that the Holy Spirit prepares our hearts to commune with God at His table.
Communion
At Christ the King, we administer the Lord's Table every week. This great sacrament of grace to the people of God is too critical to the life of the church to have but a sparing invitation. In the course of the previous week, we have been spent, laboring by faith to the glory of God, and are in need of the sustenance that only God can provide. And in our service, He has prepared us now to take the sign of that sustenance in bread and wine, strength and joy, that we may be renewed in vigor to go out into the world and be spent again. While the elements do not contain in themselves the physical body and blood of Jesus, we do believe that the real presence of Christ is with us at the Table and that the Spirit of God is sacramentally — that is, mysteriously — communicating the grace of God to us.
Commission
Finally, as we close our service, having been cared for by God throughout as He ministers to us through His Word and Spirit, fed at His Table that we would be strengthened in His grace, we are sent out into the world again by His Word. We are His ambassadors — called to the do the work of the ministry, to work as unto the Lord, be salt and light, and bring the gospel to the nations. All of Christ for all of life for all of Massachusetts.

We’ve been very blessed to be able to worship at the Prescott Community Center since September 2026. Our services are held in the Community Room (entrance in the rear of the building). There is ample parking behind the building or on Main Street.
Our services are open to all who are interested in learning more and desire to worship the Living God.
