Family Integrated

Principle

We are committed to the unified worship of God on the Lord's Day, calling all of the congregation, regardless of age, into His worship. We believe, as St. Paul teaches in 1 Corinthians 7:14, that the children of believers are covenantally set apart before God because of their believing parents. Therefore, we affirm, as has been the practice for most all of church history, that the children of believers belong to the visible people of God on earth and thus should be participating in worship.

Practical

From the moment you enter, you'll notice that we don't separate families when it's time to worship. There's no shuffling the children off to a different room while the adults engage in "real" worship. Instead, we believe that every person, from the youngest child to the oldest adult, is an essential part of our congregation and that entire households are called to serve the Lord and worship Him in gladness. Further, we believe that encouraging the unified worship of God represents our broader commitment to unity as a whole and a proper care for God's people who benefit richly from the ordinary means of grace that God has given in Word and Sacrament in the body of Christ.
